Development Engineer – Energy Harvesting, Power Management and Sensor Technology
- Online seit 19.07.2021
Are you intrigued by the prospect of powering networks of wireless sensors by harvesting energy from their surroundings?
Then we have just the job for you!
You will be testing and developing power supply systems that harvest electrical energy from the environmental sources – heat, light or movement – to operate a wide range of systems and applications. To this end, you will be developing electronic hardware and software components for use in highly efficient voltage transformers, charging circuits and battery management systems. You will also be responsible for selecting and adapting wireless and sensor components as well as for testing and validating the prototypes and components you develop. You will be working closely with our customers as part of research and industry projects, and presenting the results of your research at trade fairs and conferences. In addition, you will be supervising student assistants*, who will also help you in your work.
What we expect from you
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Physics, or similar course of study
- Knowledge of analog and digital low-power circuit design
- Basic knowledge in embedded C programming
- Experience in lab-based measurement technology
- Knowledge of energy converters such as thermo-generators or piezoelectric transducers as well as of energy storage systems such as batteries and capacitors
- Knowledge of standard sensors, their uses and signal processing
- Good written and spoken German and English
